  • All About Persian Cats

“Try to be a rainbow in someone else’s cloud”- Maya Angelou

Persian cats can live up to 15-20 years and can weigh 7-12 pounds. But don’t worry. Most of their bigness is just fur and fluff. Persian cats are one of the fluffiest cats you’ll ever see.

Although they shed much if you brush their fur daily it helps slow down the shedding. Persian cats are originally from Iran and the countries near Turkey.

Persian cats are usually quiet and are very sweet and affectionate towards their owners.

Persians are very popular and have been one of the world’s most popular cats. It is being ranked as 3rd and 5th place. Think about it. There are a lot of cats!

    Which cat would you get?

  • All About Maine Coon Cats

“Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.”: — Charles R. Swindoll

These cats are one of the closer species to the wild cats and they have very pointy ears compared to other cats. They are also VERY big and can grow up to astounding sizes. They range from 10-25 pounds (10-15 for female and 15-25 for male). Some Maine Coon cats have been recorded to be 3-4 feet long! The largest Maine Coon was 48.5 inches (1.2 meters long) if you don’t know how big that is it’s about 4 feet.

Maine coon’s have a thick glossy coat that can protect them from the rain and harmful weather. They are one of the most tolerant cat breeds. They are also an outside cat species so the thick coat of theirs comes in handy!

The average life span for a Maine Coon is 9-15 years.

  • A Cat For The Holidays

“You must be the change you wish to see in the world.” – Mahatma Gandhi

Since there are colors for every holiday why can’t there be cats to represent every holiday? So I decided to use information from the internet and here’s the result.

Halloween (a black cat which everyone knows)

    Christmas (an orange cat)

Valentine’s Day (gray or black with whit stomach)

    Leprechaun’s Day (gray splotched)

    Thanksgiving (tortoiseshell)

    Easter (any light colored cat)

New year’s eve/day (gold or yellow)

That’s all of the major holidays I could think of if I forgot any let me know!

  • Cats of Color

    Black Cat

    Dilute (gray/blue)

    Calico

    White

    Brown

    Gray

    Shaded/Smoke (white and gray mix)

And these aren’t even close to half of the many colors cats can be. This is just a little summary of original cat colors. Your cat could be any one of these colors! Or even a mix! But the outside doesn’t matter it’s what’s inside that counts😉.

  • All About American Shorthairs

“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”
    ― Oscar Wilde

American Shorthairs actually are from Europe and were brought here on boats like the May Flower in the 1600’s. These cats are known for being a great hunter and the oldest domestic cat breed to set foot on North America. They used to be called Domestic Shorthairs until people in America named it American Shorthairs in 1966.

An average American Shorthair’s life span is 15-20 years.

American Shorthairs aren’t that chatty and they’re super smart and independent. They also are very athletic and are great with children. However they do not like being picked up and would rather walk with their four paws.

American Shorthairs color various from white, black, blue, red, cream and silver, and other patterns.

These cats don’t need another companion they are happy to play by themselves but that doesn’t mean you should isolate them fully!

American Shorthairs are very easy to train because they adapt to anything you throw at them.

  • All about Siamese Cats

“The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.”: — Franklin D. Roosevelt

Siamese cats are very elegant and graceful so if they were a human they would be a phenomenal dancer. Most new cat owners (people who have never owned cats before) say that this is the go to breed they chose. They are energetic and playful. They are also social and affectionate. Siamese cats are almost considered dog like and love to take walks and play fetch.

What’s so striking is their color pattern because no other cat breed can have this coat pattern. Siamese cats enjoy being held and are perfect for people who love watching movies and cuddling with their furry friend.

Siamese cats weigh from 8-14 pounds and can be 11-14 inches long and are 8-10 inches tall.
