โ€œHere’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.โ€

  • 5 Things People Get Wrong About Cats

โ€œLive as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.โ€
    โ€• Mahatma Gandhi

    1. Water

People often think cats hate water but that’s not true. Even though they don’t always necissarilly love it they just don’t like being forced into water. Cats come from dry climates and aren’t used to it.

    2. Shedding

People think some cat breeds don’t shed at all but that’s not true. While, true, they don’t shed as much they do shed a little. Breeds like the Sphynx, Cornish Rex, Devon Rex, Russian Blue, Bengal and Siamese don’t shed as much but do shed very little. They are better however to people who are allergic to cats.

    3. Black Cats

People think that black cats are unlucky and bad to be around but that’s not true. Medival superstitions saw that bad things happened while black cats were around and started blaming them for “witchery”. In fact most people believe them and don’t purchase black cats. 76% of black cats don’t get adopted and stay homeless in shelters or no shelters at all.

    4. Cats Have 9 Lives

Cats don’t have 9 lives. It’s like saying when you’re cat dies it comes back to life. But that never happens. People think that because of cats incredible agility, reflexes and natural survival instincts that cats live over and over again.

    5. Cats Like To Be Left By Themselves

This is one of the biggest lies. Cats do not like to be left alone. True your cat won’t give you as much attention as let’s say: a dog. But they do not like to be left alone. Without humans they often get sad or lonely. Leading to them to tearing apart whatever is in their reach (pretty much everything).

  • All About Scottish Folds

โ€œBe who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind.โ€
    โ€•ย Bernard M. Baruch

The first Scottish Fold recorded was named Susie. She was a white cat and was found in a farmers barn. She was unique because unlike other cats she was born with folded ears. That is the start of a long line of cat breeds. The ear fold in a Scottish Fold is a disease that is transfered down cat to cat. It’s not super bad it just makes their ears fold.

Scottish Folds are loving, smart and very interactive with other cats and humans. However they cannot be left alone for a long period of time.

Scottish Folds live 11-15 year and come in a variety of colors. They weigh usually about 2.5-6kg.

  • All About Persian Cats

“Try to be a rainbow in someone else’s cloud”- Maya Angelou

Persian cats can live up to 15-20 years and can weigh 7-12 pounds. But don’t worry. Most of their bigness is just fur and fluff. Persian cats are one of the fluffiest cats you’ll ever see.

Although they shed much if you brush their fur daily it helps slow down the shedding. Persian cats are originally from Iran and the countries near Turkey.

Persian cats are usually quiet and are very sweet and affectionate towards their owners.

Persians are very popular and have been one of the world’s most popular cats. It is being ranked as 3rd and 5th place. Think about it. There are a lot of cats!

  • A Cat For The Holidays

“You must be the change you wish to see in the world.” โ€“ Mahatma Gandhi

Since there are colors for every holiday why can’t there be cats to represent every holiday? So I decided to use information from the internet and here’s the result.

Halloween (a black cat which everyone knows)

    Christmas (an orange cat)

Valentine’s Day (gray or black with whit stomach)

    Leprechaun’s Day (gray splotched)

    Thanksgiving (tortoiseshell)

    Easter (any light colored cat)

New year’s eve/day (gold or yellow)

That’s all of the major holidays I could think of if I forgot any let me know!

  • Cats of Color

“If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door.” โ€“ Milton Berle

Like every other animal we know cats come in many shapes, sizes and color. In this blog it teaches you of all the different colors of a cat.

    Black Cat

    Dilute (gray/blue)

    Orange

    Tortoise Shell

    Calico

    White

    Brown

    Gray

    Shaded/Smoke (white and gray mix)

    Albino

    Striped (orange, brown or gray)

And these aren’t even close to half of the many colors cats can be. This is just a little summary of original cat colors. Your cat could be any one of these colors! Or even a mix! But the outside doesn’t matter it’s what’s inside that counts๐Ÿ˜‰.

  • All About American Shorthairs

โ€œBe yourself; everyone else is already taken.โ€
    โ€•ย Oscar Wilde

American Shorthairs actually are from Europe and were brought here on boats like the May Flower in the 1600’s. These cats are known for being a great hunter and the oldest domestic cat breed to set foot on North America. They used to be called Domestic Shorthairs until people in America named it American Shorthairs in 1966.

An average American Shorthair’s life span is 15-20 years.

American Shorthairs aren’t that chatty and they’re super smart and independent. They also are very athletic and are great with children. However they do not like being picked up and would rather walk with their four paws.

American Shorthairs color various from white, black, blue, red, cream and silver, and other patterns.

These cats don’t need another companion they are happy to play by themselves but that doesn’t mean you should isolate them fully!

American Shorthairs are very easy to train because they adapt to anything you throw at them.
